Highfield House Hotel, Southampton

The hotel was very pleasant for our needs, offering decent sleep and a full English breakfast buffet in the morning. The rooms had an adjoining door between the next room, allowing noise to penetrate at times but overall met our requirements. Service was helpful and courteous, although some staff seemed scared to interact with customers. The location, in the middle of student-land, was ideal for our specific purpose but may not suit everyone's needs. The dining experience was adequate for the price paid, with some room for improvement on certain items. Overall, a fair option with some positive aspects.
